Look, Don't Look, a project for the Compton Verney Learning Department associated with an exhibition by Irish Artist photograher James Coleman. The project, devised by myself and Ania Bas, was intended to give people an activity which would help them connect with the work of Coleman. We provided an automated photographic studio that visitors to the exhibition could use to take photographs of themselves. There were two rules: No smiling and No looking at each other. Participants were impressed by how the activity extended their understanding and appreciation of Coleman's work. "It really put it in context", "It made so much more sense doing it", "You could feel it more". Link to Coleman
