Following a conference talk on my digital interpretation workshops I was approached by the South East region of the National Trust to devise an activity to introduce visitors to the idea of The Picturesque at Scotney Castle in Kent. I created a project where visitors borrowed high quality cameras from me and set out to photograph The Picturesque aspects of the Gardens. We then produced instant postcard prints for each participant and 8 images were chosen to make a framed exhibition in the day. Visitors were very positive about the way having a 'project' focussed them and greatly extended their understanding of the property.
