I was an extra in the 1968 Jean-Luc Godard film, One Plus One. The movie's main narrative thread features The Rolling Stones recording and rerecording various parts to "Sympathy for the Devil". The rest of the film contains a powerful political messages with English Black Panthers and Situationist polemic. The scene that I was in was one of Godard's trademark 10 minute shots. We spent 3 days trying to get the shot in a single take, we ended up doing it 40 or 50 times and had to admit defeat, in the end it was broken into 3 shots. When we showed the film at The London Film Festival Godard had a fight with the producer and we showed the film outside for free.
